Education -- We need to provide a quality education for our kids.  Supervisors don’t have direct control over the school district, but I have a Masters Degree in Education and I will continue to be a strong advocate for educating our kids.  In the last year have convened two panels for a statewide organization on changes coming to rural education such as the new local funding formula, local accountability plans and adoption of common core standards to draw attention to the special needs in rural counties.
