Increase Grant Writing Capacity -- Mariposa County is leaving money on the table because we don’t have sufficient grant writing resources.  The Upper Merced River Watershed is working on a grant to reduce the fuel load for about 450 acres in Midpines.  There’s funding for that type of effort; we need to pull together more resources to ensure we get more of the money that’s available for a variety of projects.  And, those projects mean jobs here in Mariposa.
